Weird problem with Denon avr-1912 component output

Hi, I've had a Denon AVR 1912 receiver for a while now. Aside from being really confusing sometimes, it works great.

Recently I was trying to get audio and video output from different sources, realized it wasn't going to work, and gave up. I changed only one setting (video source to my sat/cbl) and tried playing music. Having v.aux selected playing music, the video didn't show up, so I changed the settings back.

The problem is now when I plug my GameCube into v.aux, I get sound but no video. I've used my GameCube like this before so I don't know what's changed. When v.aux is selected, my TV's screen saver will turn off and on depending if I unplug the yellow (video) rca cable, and I can't even view the menu. Which leads me to believe it's recognizing the connection of the component video, but beyond that I have no idea. Any suggestions?

From looking at pictures of your AVR, "v aux" is an HDMI input, and you say your game cube is using a composite (yellow rca), which requires you to use only "DVD" or "SAT/CBL" inputs. I can't find anything definitive on whether your AVR can upscale analog video inputs and output through HDMI, if not, you'll need another yellow RCA from AVR to TV, and set TV input to that in order to use your gamecube.
