I just got back from picking it up. The owner had his younger son there. A little arrogant guy with an obvious Napoleon issue lol. Settled above what we talked about as I guess the son did a little research. It’s fine. It’s mine and it appears to be in damn near mint condition. Have to manual and schematics as well as all the receipts. Tubes are less than 2 months old. Haven’t hooked it up yet. That will happen tonight. Other than soldering the power cord instead of wire nuts and making a new cover to replace the black one I think that’s all it needs. It looks gorgeous. Now I think I will be looking for a nice PAS 3 to go with it. Comments welcomed. If it sounds as nice as it looks I think I did ok.

I saw that when I was on their site before. But the black is actually the color I prefer. I just ordered some original screws for it. Now if I could just get some of this crap done so I can listen to it lol.

If one wanted brown, paint is a lot cheaper than a new cage. Consider I'm a cheapwad though.

I’m the same way. Money saved one place is money that can be spent elsewhere.

What are the "model numbers" of the preamp tubes? In what positions?

5751's in the inboard position and 6U8A's in the outboard sockets.
