Well I just couldn't walk away from this.

I was at the local VV here when they brought in a pair of floor stander speakers. My first thought was hope somebody gets a deal on those. So I went about browsing then I saw an employee coming out of the back with the speakers, I waited to see if they were being put out for sale. The speakers were put out I went to check them out a pair of Sound Dynamics R616 all the drivers looked good everything seemed intact, but no price. I wait for an employee and ask what are they selling them for, she starts to say 9, I was sure she was going finish with $90.00 for the pair but no it's $9.99 for the pair. The words I'll take them jumped out of my mouth. I went and picked them up today hooked them up to my Marantz 2245 listening to Gordon Lightfoot now. So far they sound good.

Here they are on the store floor. They had both covers I took one off to take the pic, but today when I picked them up one cover was missing.

Same here. I don't need speakers, but they look to be in excellent condition and would nicely in the surround sound system.
Too bad about the missing grill.

Yes I did leave my number with the store. It just seemed odd how the one cover went missing.

I see them routinely advertised for around $150 - $200 a pair on Kijiji here in Canada. I'd never pay that much for them. In fact I don't really want a pair.

For $20 a pair I'd pick them up and flip 'em. Too bad the grill is missing.

I figure I will try them out for awhile then decide if I flip them or sell my Dynaco A25s since I don't need or really have room for both sets of speakers.

I would've grabbed them too ! I wouldn't have considered them replacements for A-25's though. I'd make sure they work fine and make someone I know happy that has a use for them ...if you don't need them yourself .

Well I have been listening to the speakers for awhile now trying different music so far they sound great. They are actually probably too much speaker for my small space. So I will most likely sell them.
