Were Renaissance 90s the best Infinity?

Are there different magnet types used in the high energy Emims?

Yes, some if not all Omega's Neo mags are nickel coated, Ren 80/90's, Sigma's and Epsilon's Neo Mags are black epoxy coated.

Hello fellow Infinity fans :) I have both Renaissance 80 and 90, and would like to try at least some of the cross-over mods described by timpani, starting with the woofer. But the Erse 3% NPE are out of production in the meantime.. Now they only have 6% (and 10%). I have searched in vain for another 3% NPE with values up to 220uf 100v. Does anyone have a suggestion in this regard?.. If not, should I just go with the 6% Erse, or will that more or less defeat the point of upgrading the components?

And timpani, if you happen to drop by, it would be really interesting to hear from you again. Did you do any further mods, and do you still have your Ren90? :)

Hello, fellow REN90 owners! This is an old thread, but maybe I have some luck here.
I own a pair as well & really like them ...but I still wonder if it's worth upgrading all the crossovers, in terms of sound performance?
To be able to get the best out of these gems. :)

Is anyone here familiar with the "evolution" upgrade "Hardy - Bayer Soundworks" from Germany offers?
I would be very grateful for any insights or experiences. :)
Thanks!
