I thought so too! I bought some HPM 1100s new in '82. always looking at/for more HPM

Nice speakers; I had a set for a while. Those graphite cones are quite brittle and less forgiving than paper, so nice sets are hard to come by.

yeah, tell me about it. I had em as a 20 year old Marine. The graphite got cracked when they were about 6 years old, fixed it with tape several times. finally about 10 years ago I just went ahead and had 'em re coned with paper. They still kick ass, just don't look as cool.
