Picked this Truetone tube type AM, FM, turntable console up at an auction yesterday for $18. It's a mess. Although in pretty good condition considering all the mice or chipmunks that called it home. Hopefully I'll have time to clean it up and get it playing again.

Oh my, that certainly is a mess in there. Good luck with the restoration; it looks like it should be very presentable when fully cleaned up.
 
Time for a fresh bag in the shop-vac! I "inherited" a Sony TC-580 r2r from a deceased relative couple years ago. Wouldn't do anything but light up.Opened it up, there was a ball of rodential nestage halfway between softball & soccer ball in size. Shiite & pee on everything within about 8" from bottom of unit. Massive toxic corroded mess. I sure hope you don't find anything like that under the chassis(es) in there. Good luck!
