Has anyone ever heard of a Western Electric 1086F? I can google 1086 A's, B's and C's successfully but nothing comes up for 1086F. Years ago a colleague of mine was getting married and was cleaning out his house. One of the items he gave me was a 1086F. It appears to be the same as a 1086B, that is, the same tubes and same appearance. Someone has written a date on the chassis of 6-1-43 with the message, "strapped for full gain". The original 300A's have been replaced with 300B's. I am surprised that there isn't a web site that lists all of Western Electric's equipment along with dates of manufacture. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
