We've lost another great musician...

Oh, my. I'm actually listening to Waiting for Columbus right now, but had no idea until I just read this post. RIP, Paul.

Oh hell yes! I started with Dixie Chicken then went to Waiting For Columbus.
I was actually AT that concert at Lisner Auditorium in DC ...
I saw them about 5 times in the early Little Feat era.
The first was a show with Little Feat, followed by some new blues lady - Bonnie Rait, who brought out Arthur "Big Boy" Cruddup, and the headliner was Paul Butterfield's Better Days.
Then I caught them maybe 3-4 times at Lisner -
I was at the show that became Waiting for Columbus - DC loved the feat! ...
We used to get some hot acts back in the day!

Indeed. Little Feat was huge in the DC area in the early '70's. I caught a few of those shows myself. In my college years, I think I wore out Sailin' Shoes and Dixie Chicken. Still play both frequently. RIP, Paul.

How did I miss this...

Little Feat, one of my favorites.

R.I.P. Paul...
