Whale vs. cruise ship.

Just saw on the news where a large cruise ship pulled into Vancouver, B.C., and apparently skewered a whale along the way. The ship's quite a bit bigger than the whale, which was still attached, but you'd think it would affect the steering, & make them wonder. :scratch2:

Literally just came back from a cruise and we thought we ran into some dolphins...."they" admitted to me that it has happened but did not happen this time. :thumbsdn:
 
Do you think the pirates from the TV show "Whale Wars" will be throwing rancid butter and ramming cruise ships now? :scratch2:
 
I feel sorry for the rammed whale. Array has it right, that certainly isn't the memory you'd like to have of a cruise... would ruin the whole experience, for me. The whale was probably just being curious, or even friendly, and had no way to be prepared for what (literally) hit it.


That Exploding Whale video is definitely a "classic"! I hadn't seen that before, but it sure was worth watching. Hilarious, in a sad sort of way. Ever smell rotting sea mammal? Few things on Earth can smell quite as bad. :puke:
