Wharfedale 505.2

I picked these up at a local Goodwill a while back bundled with some stands. I really only wanted the stands, so the speakers were basically included at no cost. When searching for foam for them, I did not find much of anything about them. The ones I have do not look like any I see referenced on anywhere except for one; it was a pic somewhere of the same ones I have. I didn't save it and can't find it now.
The ones I have do not use the locking ring like most of the 505.2's use. I'm curious about them and am curious if anyone knows anything about them. Thanks for any info.

Based on the lack of replies, it seems like these speakers are a real mystery! I’ve not dealt with Wharfedale support before, but I’ll try contacting them.

Ya, they do tend to make changes through the run of a speaker model.
At first I thought someone swapped out drivers. But now that I look closer, maybe not. Is the tweeter centered on the black looking ring behind it? Maybe yours is an earlier version. I see feet on the bottom of the ones with silver rings.

Odd thing is I can find no reference to these at all. Maybe they were produced years ago and reintroduced later as the model in the pics I posted. The tweeter is centered, but that pic is at an angle.

That's kind of what I'm thinking. That they were reissued. If so they may have been nice enough that they thought it worth reissuing.

At least these don't have that non-standard locking ring mount!

Poping the driver's out and getting numbers off the magnets might help. Even pictures of the crossovers might give a clue.

You may find a suitable set of annuli here. https://www.simplyspeakers.com/

While there is no listing for Wharfedale, making some measurements on your speakers may result in a suitable annulus being found. They give all the pertinent dimensions of their annuli.
