I have recently had the fortune of inheriting a pair of Wharfedale Denton 1s from my dad. They are beautiful, albeit slightly neglected, speakers but sound pretty terrible, so I was hoping to replace the internals to make them usable.
I am struggling at the first hurdle of opening them to take a look inside. It seems the back wood has been glued in place with the only removal screws being for a wall mount, and the speaker wire. Does anyone have any work arounds for either a) removing the glue without massacring the back wood or b) getting in from the front? Any help would be appreciated.
Additionally, if anyone has any general information on these speakers it would be greatly appreciated. Can’t find much at all online.
