Well hello there strangers! I had posted a few comments way back when (last year I guess) about the Dentons. I ended up sending them back due to one of the tweeters not working. Since then I have stayed w my Pioneers BS22's, but have been quietly eyeing the Dentons. Well, I've decided that resistance is futile and I've taken the plunge yet again. A pair of Dentons are one the way from Music Direct. I'm still using the Pioneer A20 integrated w the Onkyo 7030 CD player, so I still may reside in the flea motel, but nevertheless, I am excited about the potential for these speakers. I've been seduced by the looks of these things along w the consistent description of them being warm and delightful to listen to. Sounds like my cup of tea. Hopefully this batch will not have any probs. Will keep you posted.
Any thoughts on whether the A20 will be a decent match or not?

Hey Tin,

Welcome back and ya know, I think I remember your post. I have no idea about the A20 and how it'll sound with your Dentons. I can say that after many years of dragging home receivers and amps, both solid state and a few tube powered rigs, you never really know until you put them through a test run. Your listening space, how you place your speakers, type of music and a few other things will all come into play. Listen & enjoy. And then? Drag home another integrated and see how that sounds. While that's going on, find a receiver and try that one too. Then you can lean back and see which one sounds better with the Dentons. And I'll bet you dimes to dollars, you'll probably find another pair of speakers while all that's going on and you can run through the gauntlet again. At least it's worth a shot, eh?

Ha! Sounds about right...once you are bitten by the bug, it's hard to let it go isn't it? I'm hoping that the Denton's hit the spot for a lengthy stay though because my wallet is getting upset (read: wife) ;-) Will keep you all posted on thoughts....

Any recommendations on an amp that is a good match for the Dentons? I've read that they like power and that they pair well w solid state gear...even if it is a bit bright because they are so warm. My budget would be in the $500 and under range. Thanks.
PS I currently have the Pioneer A20 and listen to my CDs on the Onkyo 7030 CD player...budget guy all the way!
