Wharfedale Dovedale Tweeters

I have a pair of vintage Wharfedale Dovedale speakers, however one of the tweeters is slightly damaged. My best hope is that someone has a purple tweeter hanging around that they would like to unload. If not, I was hoping someone might know if I could use a tweeter from a different Wharfedale speaker as replacement. I ask because currently I know of three different tweeters available, but sadly non specifically for my dovedale. Any thoughts or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Finally, any thoughts on if a Sansui AU-517 is too much power for these? I believe the Sansui is rated at 65wpc, Thanks in advance!

The purple dome tweet came in several models including the W60 but I am not sure if there was only one variation of several of this tweeter. If you resolved that you might find on EZ.

They look more like those that KFA posted. I was looking and listening to them this evening and perhaps the tweeter is ok, just the plastic around the tweeter was damaged??? Any thoughts on how a novice could test? Assuming tweeter is bad, what speakers use the the same tweeter?

I bet it is OK. Put a paper towel tube to your ear and up to the tweeter and see if sound is coming out. I don't know which tweeter that is.
 
There's no free lunch in lfe my friend- sir byrd, gotta pay to play. i figure the knowledge I am getting here is worth the 25 bucks a year. Plus its a cool site. I will try that, thanks for the tip.
 
I saw those on that auction site too, that is why I asked if they would compatible, especially for the price. The seller doesn't know if they will work on the Dovedales, but the more I look at it I only think the surround of the tweeter is damaged and not the tweeter itself.
