Hello everyone,
I am trying to source a decent replacement cone(s) for the 10" Wharfedale Glendale XP3 woofer driver. Since there is no chance of finding an original cone I need to find the next best thing. One of the drivers is in good shape for it's age, but the other one has damaged cone (ripped in several places, it came to me that way, mistreated by the previous owner). I will patch the damages, but I prefer to replace the cone. Both drivers have excellent rubber surrounds (they look like they just came out of the factory), coils are good, dust caps are good. The sound quality is excellent.
Since these drivers have strange geometry I am having trouble finding suitable cones.
Here are my measurements (may be off +/- 0.5-1mm on some dimensions):
Cone diameter: 182mm (it has a specific lip on the edge)
Surrounds diameter: 242mm, 171mm inner edge (inverted roll)
Cone throat: ~40mm (measured 43mm on the outside, close to the spider)
Cone depth: ~63mm (I can't be sure untill I dismantle it)
Dust cap: 50mm (silk/textile, untreated)
Cone is curvilinear, thick textured paper pulp.
I attached a few closeup photos.
If anyone has an idea where to source a suitable replacement (preferably in Europe), please drop a line.
