What 12" woofers came in Altec Lansing Model 8

I have a beautiful pair of Altec Lansing Model 8

It turns out that the woofers were replaced with a different 12" no name model.
They look and sound good but I would like to put in the originals.
Trouble is that I cannot find the model #s to source the correct woofers.
Does anyone out there know or should I just look at some similarly rated Altec Lansing woofers 12" ?

You are having the same problem I am with a pair of JBL L112s I purchased. Someone removed the JBL 128H woofers and put in some no name 12" Tiwanese woofers. I knew that going in so I got the speakers at a very good price. Now I'm trying to track down a couple of reasonably priced 128Hs so I can put the L112s back to original.

This thread @ www.lansingheritage.org suggests that the woofer in the Eight is the same one used in the Altec Fourteen. Cosmetically -- looks like it could be.

Have to read the thread from the bottom up -- a little like a Japanese hifi magazine, or a Chinese newspaper... or Hebrew ;)
