what amp to drive B&W DM7?

I am running my DM 560s with a Pioneer SX-950 (85 wpc). They definitely benefit from a well-matched subwoofer.

i bet thats a good match,
do you think the 560's are the newer model of the 7's? it is possible,
off topic a little but i just had a knock on the door and its my new to me tape deck :jump: its nothing great but for the price im happy,im guessing it will get a service and end up in the store room lol
its a technics m11 ,
back to the b&w's ,
i prefer that older look when it comes to b&w,kef, imf etc ,
but yours do look good ,i find most english speakers can be a little lite on the bass some times if one uses an amp that is not able to push them hard enough , do you find that with yours?
your amp being 85watt id say that is perfect ,

The DM 570 is probably a closer match, as it was a floor-standing speaker. The DM 560 is a large bookshelf speaker (8 in driver + tweeter in a front-ported box). I have the plugs in the ports, since I have a subwoofer. Adding the woofer was like getting new speakers. Really helped the B & Ws shine.

Late reply, just signed up. I've had a pair of B&W DM7's since the late '70s, and after buying them had the self same problem of trying to find the right power amp. Tried many, many units, and ended up with a second hand Yamaha C2/B2. Using this combo transforms a good speaker into a great one. Quads, monster Dennon, Futterman, Meridian, all failed the test. However, I have never thought to recap the crossovers, so thanks to you guys, I have a new project !
