What are these? JBL signature something?

Hi. I'm new here.
I picked these up this weekend.
I've been googling like mad, but I can't figure out exactly what these cabinets are...

29" x 23.5" x 16"

I figure they're JBL cabinets, but I'm not sure exactly which one.

Somebody made new backs for them.

The cabinets and baffles are in decent shape outside of the mismatched stain...
(Wasn't me)

Are these worth restoring, or nah?
Is restoring speaker cabinets looked down upon in the vintage hi fi world?

Anything you can tell me about them would be appreciated.

From the looks of the cutout around the crossover, I'd venture to say they were home made. Perhaps others will chime in with some driver identification.

The baffle looks more like it came from a hacked-up Electro Voice "Marquis" cab kit.

030 load in some homemade cabinets.
The woofer paper "surrounds" will show cracking if the cones have not been reconed.
So watch the volume.

The tweeters are worth a ridiculous amount of money. Be careful with them.

Both the 075 tweeters and the woofers are worth a ton. Deserve a better enclosure if possible.
You got a great setup here.
Speakers alone worth around $800 or more. Just a guess. Something like this I would keep for the rest of my life as I have kept my JBL L-100 since I bought them in 1972. Still sound great.

Cabinets were non-JBL. Most likely scenario is that a dealer built a single from a cabinet vendor - Barzilay or similar - and then loaded the drivers of the customer's choice in them. Later, when 2-channel stereo came in, the 2nd one was procured. This would account for the difference in finish - but not that color difference!

Check the serial numbers of the drivers. I'll bet they're way off. If I'm off, they'll likely be close.

I would say the cabinets started out professionally made (consider the bevels on the front - that's not amateur work) but then were hacked up by someone with less skill. Compare the way the woofer is mounted with the tweeter sub-baffle and the hole-filling plate above. Also note the corner brace in the lower right but none in the lower left.

Tweeter serials are off by about 500.
Same with the speakers.
So that makes sense!
Also one cabinet has dampening, the other shows no sign of it.
Speaker comes have a penciled "R" on them, and look super brand new. So I'm guessing recone.

Evidently the 030 kit was quite popular and probably installed in any cabinet with close enough measurements.
A gentleman was kind enough to point out to me the hairline cracks in the woofers surrounds as he happily handed over quite a bit of cash for his newfound treasure.
