What are these?

Hi everyone,
I recently got these speakers from our local freecycle group and I havent got a clue what they are

There is no labels on them at all which is why I have had no way of trying to find out what they are.

I was so happy when I saw these pop up on freecycle and they sound brilliant!

Just looking to see if anyone knows what they could be or knows any specs?

Kef's?

The driver layout looks similar to this model.

Linn, and IMF also have used ovular woofers.

HarryH733 whatever they are, there most likely high end. I bet they sound really good, nice find!

The racetrack B139 is indeed made by Kef, but it's been used in many many speakers as klama said. IMF, Linn, Cambridge, Radford, TDL and Audionics all used B139s in some of their speakers.

The speakers you have there use the later B139 along with a T27 tweeter and B110 midwoofer - a fairly common and rather good driver combination. Awesome find there, especially for free! Those are some very sought after drivers.

I don't think it's a Concerto as the baffle is different. However, the driver complement and port size are very similar, so I'm guessing it's a KefKit3 which someone's made a different baffle for. The Kefkit3 was basically a Concerto but shipped to the customer in bits for self assembly.

It sounds like they could well be the KefKit3's then as some bits do look like a bit of a DIY job.

They aren't in the greatest condition at the moment but I will probably work on them soon to get them looking a bit nicer, its made my day finding out that they aren't just a cheap pair of speakers and that the drivers are not just cheap old things, I will hang onto these now and look after them

kfa888, I will measure them up probably tomorrow morning for you and then post them on here. The woofers do kick out an amazing amount of bass!.... very tempting to take these to Uni with me next year
