I'm listening to my new Linestage Module design that's been in the works "forever" it seems. I'm attempting to get the feel of this device before taking it North to the Van Ilse DIY Meet at Planet10 near Victoria BC.

To that end I'm playing DADAWA's "Sister Drum". A friend brought a copy back from Japan for me. It is a JVC 20 bit K2 xrcd2 recording. It is quite a bit better than the American edition of the recording (a copy of which I gave away!). Excellent dynamics and tonal color, although I'd like to think that my design work has a lot to do with it. Before my head explodes, I'll just say that the Music was not harmed in any way. I haven't heard this recording done better on any system, but the recording is quite well done in the first place and seems to compliment the line stage.

A short aside - when this movie came out, all I could see on the poster were Mickey Mouse ears not the 'Bat signal'...

Here too, same station (KING). ...And servicing Victoria, Port Angeles, and Seattle areas. ...KPLU, where jazz is raining.
...And also another Classical FM station, higher on that analog dial. ...And one more, lower, in the 80s.

* And of course KPLU (Jazz, ...Blues on weekends).
