Yeah, bet it died happy though...Unsuccessful at reviving a laptop that got the better part a tall poor of Scotch dumped on its keyboard. Haven't spun this in a very long time.

Hey Zenith, I did set loading to 150 ohms for AT33 PTGII. The 150 ohms gives better pinpoint location for instruments around sound stage. Blacker background. Still gives wide sound stage separation too. Will definitely leave it at 150 ohms!I've always just played my mono vinyl on a stereo cart. It can be noisier but I am blessed to have inherited a lot of mint mono. From a relative who passed in the late eighties.
I must have 500+ mono titles. I did use a Shure mono cart for awhile on my VPI Scout and saw minimal differences. I chalk it up to laziness, really but I have to say, for 45s it is a bigger deal.
Any styrene doesn't go near my microline or shibata styli. And yep--45s have noise, period. Mono button helps!
