Did you do any record shopping? I hear they have good stores there (buddy who fixes stuff for me occasionally is also an airline pilot by day)

I've got a couple pinned stores in Rome for my upcoming trip, of course. Hah!

Alas no! I didn’t know to look and probably wouldn’t have had time anyway as it was mostly a family function. So not a lot of tourism.
 
I did look up listening bars/kissa for the one boys night out and was surprised to see a pretty dead scene. Seems like the kind of town where people would go for a record bar. There was one, sorta, but it was very small and you had to book a table or roll the dice. My days of squeezing up to a slice of the bar, a$$-to-elbow with 20-somethings, are long over.
