Yep,we knew it was coming.We found out during the game against the A's last night.Skub wanted like $300 mil for 10 years or something.The Dodgers are renting Skubal till the end of the year and then Skub goes free agent.If the Tigers didn't trade him now they'd end up with nothing to show for it at the end of the season because they can't compete with the big boys financially.
This way we're getting three good prospects plus the Dodgers are paying the $32 million the Tigers owed Skubal too.It's a long sad story.

I hear what you're saying Vinny, and I kind of feel similar. Honestly, we're probably better off moving in this direction than paying him that kind of money. We have arms, our hitting situation is what needs addressing.
With the management that we have in place, I definitely feel better about moving on from a pitcher of his calibre than in the past. The only guy that l don't miss on that list that you posted was David Price. Good riddance to that bum! He made a big production (negatively) about coming to Detroit and ultimately did 5/8 of F-A once he got here.
Good luck to Skubal, I hope he gets the money he wants. We can definitely spend that money better on this "team" in Detroit.

Those are excellent subs for the money. I used the V-1012 for years in my home theater.

A guy I knew in college, whose family has a vineyard up near St Helena, CA. I remember driving up there and seeing his older brother driving one of these.
