Hoo boy, has it been a week! We went to my sister in law's last Monday to prep for her wedding, so I haven't had time with my own music.
Also, at the wedding I had the pleasure of throwing a dude out of the bar for helping himself to drinks (which were already symbolically priced). So he spent the night hovering threateningly after that, until he joined the dance floor, taking off his shirt to flash crypto-Nazi tattoos.
Totally normal behaviour for a wedding, right? Needless to say, he didn't get to stay long after that
The second his car went down the driveway somebody put RATM on the stereo for an antifash dance party

Contract pressing made in Japan for US distribution. Different, superior mastering to the ones manufactured here in the US. Some early US Wind and Wuthering CDs also have a made in Japan by Sanyo variant, again a superior mastering. Supposedly these rival the Japan for Japan 1st press CDs though I personally have never compared them. I can say that when I discovered this one I felt that it bested both vinyl pressings that I owned. These being the UK 1st press and original US MFSL records.
I don't come across them often...

Ærkenbrand, "Hedenfarne æventyr" (2024)
This is a lovely, genre bending underground sleeper from Denmark. It's proggy, psychedelic, with hints of more adventurous doom rock/metal. Most of all you can tell the band members are terrific musicians that may have indulged in certain substances while putting this record together.
AFAICT, there is some roster overlap with other, harder Danish bands like Arkæon and Múspellzheimr? On Bandcamp they're all published under the Kolbitr moniker, but I'm unsure how they're actually connected.
