The second his car went down the driveway somebody put RATM on the stereo for an antifash dance party

Contract pressing made in Japan for US distribution. Different, superior mastering to the ones manufactured here in the US. Some early US Wind and Wuthering CDs also have a made in Japan by Sanyo variant, again a superior mastering. Supposedly these rival the Japan for Japan 1st press CDs though I personally have never compared them. I can say that when I discovered this one I felt that it bested both vinyl pressings that I owned. These being the UK 1st press and original US MFSL records.@Mr.White told me the Japanese version sounds better.
This CD says Japan. Sleeve and runout says Printed U.S.A.
Sounds good.

Tripp Lite Isobar is what I’ve used for decades at work. All laboratory instrumentation. Never had a power surge eat an instrument. Of course, YMMV.Had a bit of an electronics scare last night.
Wife and I were having "Music & Margaritas Night" in the music room. Probably had a couple too many and wasn't paying attention when a small thunderstorm popped up in our area. Was jamming to KISS via the WiiM when a gargantuan thunderclap hit and the room went silent (except for sound of storm outside). Didn't see the lightning but there's no thunder without lightning so I guess it was VERY close. But I don't think we had a direct strike.
Looked over at the brand new Marantz integrated amp (bought around July a year ago) and the display was blank . . . except for a tiny blinking orange LED at the bottom of the display. Couldn't get the Marantz to respond to any input including the power switch. Ended up pulling the power cord from the unit and let it sit for a bit and reset internally. Luckily when I reconnected the power the amp started up normally and seems to be operating normally.
The satellite system was also knocked off line and reset itself when restarted.
So today I am in the market for a "real" surge suppressor instead of the cheapo power strips with surge suppression that I currently have powering most of my audio pieces.
I’ve got that one ultrasonic cleaned and ready to go. BS&T somehow got in the way of my Poco/Moody Blues binge.A Question Of Balance - The Moody Blues
