GottchaThere is a story to every cracked piece I've glued together over time.
Some I can even remember how it happened
I have gotten much better over the years being gentler on the gear

They were never optional where i;ve lived.. Not even close. Always dusty or pollen.. I'm like Pigpen. Wherever I go i stir up a cloud of dist and dirt into the air. Don;t mean to. it's the way I am not like a lithe ballerina..
That lid cracked when we were dancing around the wood floor upstairs where I last lived
The wood floor that had as much give as a WWE mat and i could never use a floating suspension TT there it would always skip
and then fell over like at a Pogues concert
Knocked into the cabinet everything was in and knocked it off the top of i think a SX-950 at that time...
Til the infinities burned that up too....
It fell back and down the stairs.
Only thing that saved it from true disaster landing was the cables and plug holding it up
Smacked pretty good but didn;t bust the arm. needle, platter or anything but the acrylic dust cover took the beating.
Technics built them strong like they were building Honda's and Toyota's at that time..
Like they were built for DJ/ng at a busy club in the 1980"s tough..

in 1987 drove my then car Dodge Colt 3 hours in a freak snowstorm on the Sac. valley floor up Hwy 99 snowstorm to see Eddie in Redding CA. Slept in the car afterwards and drove back in the morning.
