What are you Listening To Right Now? - and more

That is crazy , I started out as a dishwasher at 14 , by 15 I was helping the cooks with banquets then they put me on the line to work with the night line set cooks , in a year I was the night cook running the grill putting the orders together with my set cooks , it was a big hotel we had 4 bars , a private club , and banquet rooms . I learned alot there ,then cooked at Perkins 3 s$itty years , got fired , that place sucked then a restaurant in the mall , cooked till my mid - twenties as well , then went to electronics school , worked part time where I retired from , got married , had a daughter , got divorced , 20's were kinda busy and life changing.

Perkins was terrible ,I still hear " wheel please" , Sat & Sun mornings were slamming till 2 pm , the wheel had one or 2 open spots from 7am ~ 1:30pm , hated that place.

Twilight zone brother . .
Those were the days.Sat and Sun mornings were non stop once the church rush started.Fri and Sat night bar rushes were a blast.Drunken brawls, sing a longs, people walking behind the partition into the kitchen to tell me how they wanted their food done.We had to call the cops more than once but, fortunately the cop shop was right across the street.
I cooked at a Ramada Inn off the expressway for a while and that was cool.My favorite place was so busy for breakfast every morning that we had four cooks all going balls out.I loved cooking and that was where i realized i could multi-task.I know you know exactly what i'm talking about.Keeping a million different things in your brain all at once and in order.Later on i became a prep cook which was slow paced but, that was where i really started learning how to cook.
What a life for a young guy.The cuts, the burns, the falls and the women.;)
