Yea there is a reason I have 4 of them…. One the of few SS amps that have similar qualities to the sound stage of a tube amp.

Some folks are quick to jump on the fact that they used STK chips…. So did Pioneer, in their SX-80 series…. Guess those are all **** too…

That said Optinica utilized massive sealed power transformer, they are also 70s units not 80s so they are early STKs.

Every time I go back to this amp it just blows my mind.

I have preached optonica to folks on AK for well over a decade now. A number of folks have picked up the slimline and they always say the same thing.

How does it seem to have never ending power, the 2nd thing folks comment on is the phono stage.

I’m dying for someone to buy the one on eBay, it’s dirt cheap and shipping is free.

Mine got "bumped" when shipped. Broke 2 outlets on the rear.....think this will work for a replacement??

Not really, But I knew one once. I mean when a guy comes to your room at midnight holding an album and wants to listen to it there’s a bolt missing lol. He would show up at parties with 2 or 3 RUSH albums. Thank god the guy only worked in the mess hall. I’ve never seen a guy smoke so much weed and live
