What are you Listening To Right Now? - and more

[Jfaustus]

Angel are a band that have been roasted on many occasions and in a lot of instances, rightfully so. Hell, Zappa wrote the song Punky's Whips about their guitar player Punky Meadows. That said, the bands 1st two records and live record are worthy listens. Great hard rock with proggy elements. I'll not buy any other Angel records now that I've the 3 that you need. This being their 2nd.

Hair is on point.

Totally, along with the succulent lips and white outfits. They had the image which eventually killed them. The band logo is pretty damn cool though. They made it so it said Angel rightside up or upside down.

Our local Target has a CVS pharmacy and today my wife and I got our annual flu shots. We each received a coupon for $5 off a $20 purchase.

Of course mine was burning a hole in my pocket as I looked over the Target vinyl selection. I spotted this 2026 Rubber Soul remaster so it had to come home with me.

The Target version is orange vinyl. Sounds great.

Audiophile LPs are cut with 4 sides is because their cut at 45 rpm which allows for wider cutting grooves. The higher playing speed allows for easier tracking of the recorded material thus improving somewhat the overall dynamics of the recorded material.

True. Audiophile Lp’s have 4 sides for this very reason

This has some damn fine songs on it.

Going to see them in Florida, first week of November.

Awesome! I saw them in 1980 at Joe Louis Arena on the Permanent Waves Tour.

@vinnie747 and @Row-bear-tow I listened to that Robert Plant - Fate Of Nations album, and it was really good

Robert Plant - Fate Of Nations

WOW. I've had this forever. Had to look up it's release date. Released in '93. Excellent record. Will pull it off the shelf for a work spin this week. I'm sure it's not been listened to in at least 5 years...maybe more.

@vinnie747 and @Row-bear-tow I listened to that Robert Plant - Fate Of Nations album, and it was really good

Awesome bro.Robert had some good stuff on all those solos. How bout this one with Jimmy Page backing him up with a badass solo? Despite the video Jimmy's the guitarist on this one from Now and Zen.
