“She’s a kluge, Clark.”

“Why yes it is, thanks Dad, you taught me everything I know about audio attenuation.”

Padding down the La Scalas 24dB and bypassing the preamp’s sub out low pass filter.

Trying out the Fosi M04, 100W, Class D Subwoofer Amp using its low pass and channel summing. This one has been driving my DQ-1W sub since April. It’s tighter than the Dayton 100W Class D plate amp I normally use.

The keen observer will note that the NHT SuperTwo’s are pointing the wrong way. That’s because SuperTwo’s are “just” SuperOne’s over a down-firing 8” sub and that’s the point of the exercise. I don’t want to stress my wonderful Hitachi HMA-8500 ll MOSFET amp (test queen that she be) so less temptation for stoopid this way.

25 watts minimum, lol that’s a good one Ken. These take twice that to begin to open up. Anyone else remember when he used to hang out here?

Verdict: 24 dB is pretty close, maybe more. Sounds good. Pulled the trigger on another Fosi for the left hand side. More on Friday.
