What are your favorite budget RCA Cables?

I am in need of a good quality set of RCA cables. I am hoping to spend less than $100 on the pair. I am using them primarily for rock music. Any recommendations?

Also, need a good budget Digital Coax cable for my home theatre receiver. Any recommendations?

If you want really superior quality RCA patch cords, take a look at what Blue Jeans sells.

They probably won't sound different than any other cable, but they're top notch quality.

Blue Jeans won't blow smoke up your rear either, unlike most of the wire vendors.
 
For $100, you can do pretty well in my opinion.

I bought most of my RCAs used of Audiogon, for a fraction of the "new" price.

I've also bought new Philips, RCA and Monster for cheap, when overstock of last year's models were shipped out to the likes of those Overstock/Discount stores that liquidate this type of kit.

Tributaries offers some good cables. So does Anti-cables. Bluejean. Zebra. Unsure of the prices for all these, but all of these have been praised and pleased many a purchaser.
 
like stuartk says, bluejean cables are good and very reasonably priced. if you want cheaper, buy same parts and make it yourself. that's what i did with 50% of all the cables i use right now.
 
I'm a huge fan of bluejean cables. I use the LC-1's for all analogue applications. I've never tested anything more expensive, but I definitely don't think I'm missing anything.

My thoughts on cables are this:
-You want solid connections and good build quality. BJC will give you that for a very reasonable price.
-If I ever reach a point where all of my other components are about as good as they can be, and if I somehow still have extra money laying around, then and only then might it be worthwhile to try boutique cables. Until then, there is always something in the audio chain that will give me more bang for my buck than better cables, even if it's just more music.
 
I redid my whole system with some nice, heavy, gold, 6 ft, RCA cables from Lowes. $8.99. each. Oh yeah. They are made by Philips.
 
The Zebra cables look like a good cable and are similar to the Blue jeans cable, they use a coax cable terminated with a stout, plated, RCA barrel, The cables are braid-shielded to protect against any EMI. I think you could make the same pairs for about half the price.

Just took a look around that site:jawdrop:

Their premium interconnects are RG-59u which according to the "other sites" is not as good as RG-6. Mono's video cables however are RG-6. Plus their digital cables are fixed 75ohm just like the other places. I am placing an order for one of each of these cables. I'll report back!!
 
Consider contacting Grover Huffman about his cables to see if he has something for your budget. They're relatively inexpensive and definitely perform.
