What Artist passing affected you the most

i agree with tons on this list
but for me it was elvis, i was 14-15 yrs then
i had just gone from from "junker" stereo's to my first pioneer system with dynaco a-25's
i had all these "Sun" records that were 78 rpm in leather books
i grew up listening to elvis thanks to mom
my cb radio died, i got a friends dad to fix it
i gave all the 78,s to him as payment, there was no way i would play those again with my fancy new TT
a few weeks later elvis died [ mom cried ]... those sun lables became instant collector items
 
Im sure he was mention, Terry Kath. Maybe the best guitarist no one has ever heard of. Remember his passing and feel kind of sad whenever I hear Him play and he was not a bad singer either.
His solo is at around 3 minutes.

Would really like to see the Terry Kath documentary by his daughter.

Chicago .. post Kath was never the same band IMHO .. (not referring to commercial success here) . Really liked all the Chicago albums on legacy Vinyl I - XI (with the exception of VIII in 1975).

^^^Thanks for that. I watched that trailer before but never saw the movie. I am going to fit it in this weekend. Chicago is a very talented group of guys and Kath gave them a rock and roll edge with his skills and soulful voice. I bet over the years I’ve played album one of Chicago Transit Authority more than any album I own.
