What Artists write on Album covers.

Have you ever run into some personal notes on album covers when going through used records at a local record store? Here's a couple I have:
From the Best of June Christie it's arecord promo owned by some radio DJ at the time: Jack, your really Keen and neat. Keep up the good work. Lot's of love, June. "a fan"

The other is from Stan Getz on the album Getz Au Go Go:
To Dick & Donna, Thanks for the money you sent to help further my music. Sorry I spent it on Dope. At least I feel I'm playing better. Love & stuff, Stanley Getz. xxxxxxxx.
I'm sure there's plenty of keen and neat stuff out there add on.

Wow, this could be a really fun thread with all the stuff that's out there.

I don't have anything related to a recording artist on my albums, but I can say the couple that owned the Looking Glass album where very much in love.

"Debbie and Daryl always and forever," and then they also wrote notes to each other personally on the back. Almost decided to wait until a cleaner copy came along, but I find now that what's written adds to the listening experience.

Not written on the jacket itself, but recently I came across a Jimmy Durante LP with a hand-written letter folded up inside apparently from Mr. Durante to a fan.

I've got some records signed by the artist, mostly blues and Americanna. A few more that had DJ notes, few more with promotional material in it.
Always a welcome surprise.
When an artist dies I try to remember to cut the obit out of the paper and put it in a record of theirs. Whoever gets them when I'm gone will have a little history lesson enclosed.
