What CD players do you folks have? (or DVD/BR)

I thought it would be fun to have this thread here like there is one started by @Grumpy in the Turntables forum.

I'll kick it off. I have:

- Meridian 508.20
- Denon DBT3313UDCI for all my non-redbook discs
- Sony DVP-CX777ES which holds all my CDs

Show us your digital disc players!

I use a Deltec DAC, and transport in my main system.
A Sony CDP-XA20ES, as a backup.
A JVC XL-Z1011 as source in another system, lovely onboard DAC.
And a Marantz DV-17 for DVD-A

Zero. I use a cd drive to load CDs onto my NAS and then stream them to/through my audio system. Why do I still have a bunch of CDs then? Hmmm… in case my NAS and backup ever fail catastrophically?

Using a Oppo BD-83 SE primarily for CD, SACD and occasional 5.1 listening. I also have a Sony DVP S9000ES that I like to play regular Redbook CDs on through my MSB DAC.

The vaunted mid 80's Denon DCD-1500 with variable & fixed outputs and OEM remote control.

It's currently connected via variable out to a tubed power amp which allows for volume control via the remote.

The variable output is a great feature on some of the older CDP's but alas not all of them have this feature.

For twenty years I had an all singin' and dancin' Panasonic with multiple features which I never used, but it gave up the ghost last year
So I bought this little Sony, which is half the size of the Panasonic (sitting on my vintage Sony VHS player), in Currys for £34,

It gives excellent reproduction and is simple to use. But the hard drive became a bit noisy after three months. I e-mailed Curry's a month ago and got a quick response.

"Sorry about that. Take it into your nearest Curry's store and they'll give you a new one, we don't bother to repair them." So I did and it's been fine.

Originally, there wasn't a lot of choice, it was either that or an identical one that was "Blue Ray," for around £100.
I was told that since the advent of streaming, there's not much demand for DVD/CD players and particularly not for Blue Ray.
I did notice that the replacement I was given had gone up to £37.

there's already a thread on this subject but I'll play again

All retailed for $1000 or more, I paid $80 or less for each and they've worked flawlessly for 6 or more yrs now.

Also have a little Sony Blue Ray player in the media rm that's only for movies, my other decks won't work with the newer tv's requiring HDMI cabling, it's SQ for music can't compete with any of the older decks.

Anthem CD-1--main deck, but can be persnickety with cdr's and scratched discs.

Denon DN-680 SLC--broadcast deck reads almost every disc.

Tascam CD-RW4U--cd recorder that reads everything!

Starting Point Systems DAC3--NOS dac, use with the Tascam

Pioneer CLD-91 ES-- behemoth laserdisc player I found on the street. I haven't given it a serious listen, but it is rumored to sound very good. (AN 1862 converters)

I use a Bluesound Vault to copy the cd to the hard disc. I am too tech illiterate to do it myself. Convenient to just play your own juke box and not have to handle the cd. Of course I also kept the cds.
