What do all the letters mean?

I'll start with Pioneer. CT = Cassette tape? CTF = Cassette tape Front load? CT***S = Dolby S. RT = Reel tape?
How about Akai? CS = Cassette Stereo? GXC***D = Glass & Crystal Cassette *** Deck.
Sony TC = Tape-Corder, but what does TC-K mean?
Nakamichi 1000 and 700 was the price of the decks.
What does Technics RS mean? etc
