What happened to Trophy Points?

Noticed a little while ago (around 9PM EST) that my 'trophy points' have disappeared. Previously, my user banner on the main page showed my Messages, Likes, and (83) Trophy Points; now it's only showing Messages and Likes. The Trophy Points count has also disappeared from the pop-up box which appears when clicking on my user name. Any ideas what happened? I know it doesn't mean much in the grand scheme of things, but stuff like this makes me curious, soooooooooo.......... :dunno:

The faux gold finish on mine started flaking off, so I'm having them re-plated. I should have them back in the trophy points case soon.

I got a couple of these as a kid when playing tee-ball. I thought it was pretty stupid.

The trophy points here were at least a bit more meaningful, if a bit limited (maximum of 113, IIRC) and oddly set up. It seemed like a neat aspect of the new forum software when it was first instituted. Anyway, I started this thread because I noticed their disappearance, and wondered if there was a reason for it... :dunno:

...And now they appear to be back...

This calms down my quasi-OCD, at the least. Though I have no idea why they disappeared in the first place, and I still don't care much about having them except that I expect to see them in my name banner. So..........o_O  :wtf:

What's the point in them- doesn't everyone end up on 113 points eventually?

The point is that new posters get milestones that presumably keep them coming back. By the time they reach the 113, they are probably considered hooked enough not to need any more. Incidentally, look at the list again. Since it came back, there's some skullduggery going on. Someone has managed to achieve 114 points. No clue how. The 113 points is integral to Xenforo software.
