What is a Memory Recovery Module...is it truly useful for TTs?

In some ways a good thing -- it will blank out ticks and pops and fill in the interval with a bit of whatever went before, which is essentially inaudible. The problem is that the more you need it, the worse it works -- if there is a whole lot of noise, you have to turn it up to the point where its action is audible.
And any extra stage of electronics is going to introduce some degradation to the sound, and that degradation, though small, will be there all the time, whereas the benefit is only helpful occasionally.
My suspicion is that people tend to respond really positively at first, but after a while, they stop using them. But that's just a guess.
