Almost every ad I see here in Australia for some Sonab Speakers they have had the "custom" Sonab Mid/Bass units replaced with some cheap car type speakers.
Is there some sort of traveling speaker re-placers that do this, hasn't anyone heard of getting them re-foamed?
Or is the temptation too great that they just have to do it? The real ones have Sonab on the dust caps if anyone is thinking of buying a pair of Sonabs.

And he says just source some original Mid/Bass speakers which he has tried to do and found out that they can't be had for love nor money. Here is his ad that he posted 6 months ago looking for some:
