WHAT IS IT?

Saw this in pictures of an estate sale. Would like to know what it is. Looks like they are asking $1k, but it's hard to tell from the picture. The only speaker I remember seeing that looked close to this is Klipsch Shorthorn, but I don't think that's what this is. I assume there are two, but they only show a picture of one.1 (31).jpg

Thought I'd let you know what happened with these. As I said in my first post, it looked like they were asking $1k. After searching, I thought that was a little high. The estate sale was a good distance away. I could not get the company running the sale to let me know how much they were asking or if they were even still available (I saw them the night after the first day of the sale). I'm keeping my eyes open for speakers for my son. He graduates college in December and I'd like to find some unique speakers for him. He likes the older stuff. I decided not to make the long drive. I see interesting speakers close to home almost every weekend watching estate sales online.

One Regency (the full three way complement) driven by a Sherwood tube integrated was among the most likable systems I've heard. But a thousand bucks is real money, and they aren't in great shape cosmetically (and who knows if all the drivers work, or even if they have the tweeters). And they are big - does your son want to have to use a minivan every time he moves? (If my experience is predictive, he might).

I currently have one regency that was badly painted an ugly green, I got it for $35 and it was the 3 way version.
It sounds great but I don't think that even a cosmetically good Regency is worth too much money (probably under 200) but if you have a pair of them then id say 600+, 1K is way more than one would sell for as they are massive speakers and weigh quite a bit (the woofer alone is 32lb) so many people don't have space or don't want just one speaker.

They actually are reasonably attractive in person. The angle of the photo makes them look squat - they are wider than high, with pleasant proportions. The brasswork on the grill isn't in the modern aesthetic, but neither are visible speakers.
