What is the best Marantz Cassette Deck?

I'm putting together my first Marantz system starting with a 2330 receiver. I'd like to get the opinion of seasoned Marantz component owners as to what is the best casette deck and turntable to go with the 2330.

Thanks!

I don't think Marantz was ever really known for great cassette decks, but I have to agree that in the looks department alone, the 5220 is really hard to beat. Aesthetically, it would go very nicely with your 2330 as well.

Yup , best looking plus the 5220 has a third head. I have the 5020, the two head version. Its a good deck. Wish I had the 5220.

Hey where did you get your 2330? That and the 2325 are my dream receivers. I'm envious for sure :)

Marantz 2330

I bought it reluctantly off the bay. Did a lot of checking up on the seller. Seems he sells a lot of Marantz stuff. I hate buying any receiver sight unseen but I'll know very soon if it was a good investment. I should have it in a few days and I'll post a pic.

Best decks imo:

SD-930 (MAAC!)
SD-820 SD-720 All direct drive + level/bias computer

Forget the compudecks, beautiful but crap.

Best in that series is the SD-6000 or 6020 ( replace optocoupler may be needed)

5220 is also good but no external bias adjustment possible.

Great! I'll look into those as well. I found someone locally who wants to swap his Marantz 5220 for a Pioneer CT-F700 I have. The 700 is perfect so I'm still riding the fence on this one.

I have an SD6000 that now sits in my closet. It was a fabulous 2 speed and i used it for many years. It made awesome recordings, especially at second speed
