What is the functional difference between AGC & GBB fuses for speaker protection?

I have some old Ohm F speakers from the 1970s era that are protected by fuses. Some people suggest using AGC 4 amp fast blow fuses with them, while others say that GBB 4 amp fuses are correct. AGC fuses have a glass tube. GBB fuses use ceramic tubes. That about exhausts my knowledge of them.

The GBB fuses are much more costly than the AGC. But if they really offer superior protection to my favorite speakers, I will use them. Could some fuse expert out there in AK-land offer me a simple explanation of how these two kinds of fuses differ?

From my understanding, the GBB's are very fast acting. I could be wrong. More sensitive to quick, sudden bursts of current. I don't think I've ever used a GBB fuse for speaker protection. Just standard fast blow.
