What Is This Sears/Fisher Silver-Face?

Does any one have any info on this "Sears Audio By Fisher" receiver? It works quite well other than a few burned out bulbs. $5.50, so what the hell, I bought it.

The model # is 143.92520500. Part of that must be a serial #. It also says 90 watts@ 8 ohms, but I find that hard to believe, even if they mean 45/per channel.

Here's the pics, anybody? I'm sure it's made by Sanyo. Is there a similar non-Sears model?

My father has one of these, which he bought brand new back in the 70s. He doesn't remember what he paid, but he told me that at the time he thought it was the same as the Fishers but he bought this one because it costed much less. However, I'm pretty sure it is unique to Sears despite what he thought at the time. I would guess it is way less then 45W per/channel based on listening to my dads (unless yours is a different model, but they look exactly the same). If yours is the exact same one my dad has I'd guess its closer to 25WPC (it seems to be less powerful then my SX-636) His has never needed any repairs, and other then some dirty controls, it still great works to this day.

Yep, I was guessing about 20 watts/channel. I cleaned the controls and I need to order lights for a couple of other projects, so I'll try to get this one lit as well.

I'll likely clean the outside up and match it to a set of "surplus" speakers and see if I can find it a happy home with friends or family.

These little receivers can get people up and running with some decent sound, and so many have forgotten what that actually is...plus they look cool!

Probably 25 watts/channel. Doesn't look Sanyo made, looks to be from the era when Fisher was owned by Emerson Electric just before the Sanyo era.

Thanks, I think we have a winner! That link ultimately led me to this:
