What Is Your Favourite BBC Radio Program And What Do You Like About It?

Mine is "Sounds Of The Sixties" with Brian Matthews ...it featues some great 60s music both popular and obscure....its a great 2 hour listen on a Saturday morning!

My favourite is a BBC Radio 4 programme entitled Bookclub.

overnight NPR goes all in with BBC...news, docs, excellent stuff. Way back it was Letter From America on shortwave. I used to get their monthly magazine.

I like the World Service News and the show Hard Talk. Sometimes the host on Hard Talk tries to grill someone innocent who hasn't done anything wrong, usually actors or writers.

The Peel Sessions. I've only heard a few but they are always well recorded, sometimes "interesting" sometimes sublime. I've a bit of catching up to do.

Both the Goon Show and Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy were great comedy shows that we can thank the beeb for.

Late Junction on BBC 3... before they brought in the hipsters (young and aging) as presenters.

This show has cost me a lot of money.
