what kind of speakers are these?

Speakers worth looking into.
Probably EVs, maybe Baronets or Marquis as they look a bit small for Aristcrats.

Definitely looks like an EV Aristocrat, or a clone. The tilted back upper baffle is non-standard, but I like it.

Look at the condition of the finish on that! If it's original it's been very well cared for.

Look like Aztec speakers. Very similar to a pair of Gauguins I had. Did you get them anywhere near Denver where Aztec was located?

i havent purchased them, they are going to be at an estate sale tomorrow, i really like how they look but im a novice when it comes to speakers. the estate sale is in bay area california.

Is that an illusion or is the back edge curved??? They look very shiny and very well cared for! I'd be all over these if the have a curved rear cabinet.

looks alot like my dad's university 15" 3-way from the 1960's.

the cabinet was 6 sided, had a slot vent.

I seen that ad too, I want to go get them but a few things keep me from going, distance, looks like there isn't a pair, finally price. It looks like a fairly high end estate sale, usually that means its a company doing the sale and everything is researched and priced according to ebay. I tend to stay away from sales that want 5$ for a book or 12$ for a roll of 70's gold velvet. If any one goes let me know the price or what they are. I think its an EV.

i went to the sale, it was just one speaker, HUGE!, custom made with a jvc speaker in it. they only wanted $45 and its still there if anyone is interested. just way to big for me to even transport. everything was cheap, i did get a pair of grados sr80 for $2 yes $2!! and EV SP8B that looked brand new for $5!. if anyone wants i can get the lady to hold the speaker for me and you can get it, let me know.
