What modern things do you hate/dislike?

Teslas must have great batteries. There's one parked on the next street over. Its alarm has been going off for the last 4 hours. On for 10 minutes, then off for 5 minutes, then back on.

No sign of it getting any quieter.

Did you see the promo for the Tesla 'flying car'? Not exactly a flying car but damn, that thing is up there with the boosters that return to the launch tower. If they could do something about having to use batteries they'd really have something. Even so it is quite amazing.

Maybe a remake of "Repo Man," with a Tesla replacing the '64 Malibu? They'll need to keep the Pine Air freshener, though.

I never had that thought around the boosters for landing, but a lot of what that 'company' does in my opinion are just PR gimmicks.
Yes, me too, at first, thought of as gimmicks, but less and less. The top of that pyramid is military application, development for, causes me to wonder what they don't show. At any rate, very interesting.

Not a Musk fan. That being said I support his expenditures on space and technology. Government no longer wants to spend on the betterment of society so guys like Leon and his nemesis step up. At least they're making an attempt at putting back into what they profit from...us.

The Roadster demo was really impressive as a technology demonstration. Doesn't matter to me if it has any practicality in cars. It was STUNNING as a stand alone demo. The car will also do 0-60 in 0.40 seconds. Nope - not a typo.

America needs this kind of engineering mastery. We have done so precious little "ground breaking" over the past 50 years, it is about time to see something really at the edge of technology. The Cali Bullet Train was an unmitigated disaster. I had hoped it would succeed simply to show that we can still "do stuff."

Like him or not, Musk is just about the only pioneer we have in the country that has gone flaccid, flabby, and somewhat pathetic on engineering.
