What offer should I make on a pair of Wharfedale w40d's?

They seem to be in good shape and I'm just curious really. Alternatively I can also get a pair of micro acoustics ma3dx's with new woofers and the old ones included really cheap today too. I dont really need more speakers but i know these guys are needing some Xmas money pretty badly and I like to pay it forward when I can. Any thoughts on either of these pairs would be much appreciated. Thanks all!

I paid $40 Cdn for a pair of Linton 2's (W30's). Mine are used in a Bedroom and I would describe their sound as "Charming". When I have room I would love to have more of W's

I think I can offer $40 or $50 us and get them. I just want to be fairly happy with them is all lol
 
Mine are only rated for 20W but sound great with low powered Receivers. They would probably sound good with Tubes too
