What power amplifier to pair with Wharfedale Jade 7

Dear AKers,

I have a pretty good system (IMHO), with a pretty bad power amp.
I have always been told that metal domes need careful system matching, and therefore I am here to seek opinions.

I will leave my surround setup be, at the moment, and just speak of my stereo system:

CD/BD/SACD: Marantz UD7007, connected via XLR (Adam Hall 5* OFC cables w/ Neutrik connectors) to the preamp
Preamp: Emotiva XSP-1 Gen2 Differential Reference Preamplifier
Amp: Emotiva BasX A300 Power Amplifier (This is what I should upgrade, IMHO)
Speakers: Wharfedale Jade 7
Speaker cables: QED Performance Original (2 x 2.5mm2) w/ QED plugs - 4 meters long, each

I really like the sound so far, but I would like to ask for recommendations for the following:

1. New power amp - I have been suggested to go Rotel RB-1552 MKII (Is this the way to go?)
2. New speaker cables - should I go QED Reference XT40, or above?

I mostly listen to CD and stream music through the UD7007 from my NAS (all at least FLAC).

Would you folks please be so kind as to advise me what I should look at?

Thanks in advance!

If you really like the sound, why would you try to chase something that might potentially make your setup sound worse?. Is there an area that's lacking sound wise in your setup as to why you think you would need another amp?. Imo if it sounds good and the synergy is there then don't mess with It, as the saying goes, if it ain't broke. Just a thought.

Hi,

Regarding the sound, the bass seems to be a bit lazy. Also, I do know that amplifiers get marginalized pretty much in every up-and-coming audiophile's system, and are among the last pieces to get upgraded (if ever).
While I know not everything on the Internet is true, very many people insist that much can be gained through upgrading the amp.
Sadly I have not heard these speakers on better amps (I did have an Arcam A85 before, but that isn't really the bee's knees), so maybe I do not know what to expect.
I was thinking that maybe somebody here has run this power amp / similar power amps and then upgraded to something which has proven meaningful, and maybe they would care to share.

Cheers
