Out Of Africa, Music From The Motion Picture Soundtrack
Yesterday we took a day trip to the south shore of this province, Nova Scotia. The winding seaside drive is called called The Lighthouse Route.
A matter of trivia for you. The entire coastline of Nova Scotia is 13,000 kilometres or 8,100 miles. Astonishing for a small province. Canada has the longest coastline of any nation on earth at 244,000 kilometres or 151,000 miles.
We enjoyed a meal in a small restaurant and this was the view from the huge glass windows we sat by as we dined. Sailing past was a Cape Island hulled fishing boat. A quiet bay, fishermen taking in their catch, beautiful sky and calm water on a September day. This is why I live here.
The best corn chowder I've ever eaten. The pan roll is from the restaurant's own bakery. Delicious.
Mrs G and I shared a two piece fish and chips. Beer battered local fresh haddock. Delicious.
A perfect day. I thifted the above album and two more classical Beethoven recordings (to follow) on this trip. Yes, a perfect day.
