What was the the last audio-related item you purchased?

Smart move!

P.s. I'd mount a fully covering back of (interlocking) 18mm panels to a high shelf system like this you'd fill it up completely with records by the way.
Or use a dozen or so wall anchors.
Like the directions show. IIRC they are still rated for 39 pounds per cubby. Racking forces are easily controlled with a few anchor points in the studs. No need for overkill really.

This is video in a theater system, rather than audio, but very worthy of a mention. I bought "Ted's Lightspace CMS Calibration" data and loaded it on a calibration drive for the my projector. I haven't used the calibration patterns excessively, but I did use one pattern that has variable size cross-hatch patterns, along with a set of binoculars to fine-tune the focus.

I've tried the "binocular trick" to set focus with other patterns, but it was really hard to do anything better than with the bare eye because I wasn't sure if the binoculars or projector was out of focus. With the cross-hatch pattern on one of Ted's test images, I could see the crosshatch bloom to solid when out of focus, and then move back to distinct lines when in focus on progressively smaller patterns. With this pattern and binoculars, the focus is WAY better than it's ever been and I've had a long string or projectors going back 20 years. It's a shame they don't have quality test patterns built into the projector, but they don't.

If anybody runs a projector, it's worth going through this process to really fine-tune the focus. It's been more than a week since I did it and I'm still astounded at the difference it makes in clarity every time I turn it on versus prior attempts at very careful setting without the binoculars and pattern.

5 Audio Acoustics LP's two months ago. But am waiting for the new Decca Phillips analog Lp's similar to the DGG master series. I have never had anything but perfect Lp's from Acoustic Sounds. I have had to return 30 % of DGG master Series LP's. Acoustic Sounds even had an original Telarc 1812 Overture LP that was pre-owned but was still close to 99% perfect. My original 1812 had been played so many times the back ground groove noise was starting to be irritable. So the extra price that Acoustic Sounds charges is well worth it. I can't say the same for DGG masteries series. Though they ae better than other DGG Lp's that were originally recorded digitally!!!!

A new set of RD0194-1 tweeters for the Polk 10Bs, to replace the original SL2000 tweeters. The originals tend to over emphasize the high end significantly. These are much more balanced.

I have a pair of 10B's that I put the RDO's in and recapped the crossovers.
Mine are connected to tube gear. Those RDO's do sound smoother, but still very detailed sounding. The pair of 7's with Peerless tweeters I have sound very good also.

Nice! The usual setup here is the Dynaco PAS3 and ST35 that are lightly restored.

The Sony is currently the 'new toy' as of completing restoration three weeks ago, so it's getting the most use at the moment.

For sure the 10B's really shine with tubes! Crossovers are mostly rebuilt. I have one more capacitor to replace in both.

Nice setup! I have a Dynakit ST-35 I listen to a lot. I have a VTA ST-70 and M-125 mono blocks also in my main system. I'm using an Erhard Audio Ella Aikido preamp.
If you can find a pair of Marantz Imperial 6's they go very well with tubes and easy to drive. They sound good too! I have my ST-35 connected to them.

I really like the way the stands blend with the speakers and the floor.

Might be an odd thing to say..
Not at all!

I built the stands a few months back. Kind of went back and forth on finish. Originally thought about black to match the equipment cabinet, but didn’t want to hide the pretty oak. Also thought about just leaving them natural with a coat of rubbed wax finish, but we already have multiple wood tones here. That would just add another.

Decided to match the vinyl walnut of the Polks, at least in tone. Would have needed to use walnut for the grain to match, but had this oak in my shed for 20 years, so essentially free.

I think that’s three coats of stain, and then some rubbed beeswax for a low sheen finish.

I’m pleased with how they turned out. As is the wife :)

I ordered a new Yamaha A-S301 integrated amp from Parts Express for the system in our winter residence.
I'm replacing a Yamaha RX-485 (1993-95) receiver that was a throw-in on a speaker buy years ago. The new amp will be driving a pair of restored EPI M90 speakers with a Dayton Audio SUB-1200 and a Squeezebox Classic connected to a Topping D30 DAC. My source is a laptop with my entire CD collection ripped losslessly. The amp has an internal DAC to connect the TV.
It should arrive next week.

The amp arrived on Thursday. It's a great fit for this system and sounds fantastic.

Bought a slightly used Ortofon SPU Mister Silver GM mkII the other day. It's way more refined than the simpler SPU:s I have. I will only use it sparingly for more special listening sessions.

One big plus is how easy it is to change between different SPU:s. It's littery just unscrew one from your tonearm and screw on an other. You don't have to charge anything.
