What would be the typical Ambassador IV driver load?

-reverb-

Buying, selling... mainly buying
I know it's probably buried deep in this forum somewhere so please excuse my laziness.

I have a line on an Ambassador IV (Modern model) that looks pretty good. It's long distance so all I have to go on is a couple of pictures - none of which show any drivers.

Being that I know little about Fisher - and even less about their consoles, could someone tell me if Fisher used a certain driver vendor or did they chose from several different manufacturers? Specifically, what should have come loaded in the console I am looking at?

Thanks

I had an Ambassador IV. It had a pre/tuner combination and a separate 660a stereo amplifier that had two Telefunken 12ax7's and four Fisher labeled Westinghouse 7591's. Can't remember all tubes that were in the pre/tuner but it did have 5 or 6 Telefunken 12ax7's in it. I ended up converting the amplifier for stand alone service.

Thanks for the intel vendo81.

I think I should have worded this more clearly: What I am trying to determine is what speaker drivers would have been loaded in the Ambassador IV console.

Most likely Jensen's or FISHER Built speakers.
12" Woofer
8" Midrange
Probably a 3" tweeter
ALL 16 ohm.

Sorry I misunderstood your question reverb.

Larry has it right and all of the drivers were labeled Fisher.
