I'm looking at some vintage speakers and trying to decide.

EPI 200C (Look pretty good, 8 out of 10)
or
Klipsch Forte II (1990, 6 out 10)
or
ADS L810 (8 out 10)

Today I have Boston Acoustics A-150's, looking for something to widen my collection.
I will drive these with Yamaha Receivers/amps (80 to 160 watts)

Any thoughts?

I haven't heard any of those & they are fine speaks in their own right! On that list, I am a bit partial to the ADS L810's.

that would be a hard pick for sure between the ads and the epi. i would say go with the one that looks the best or needs less work but they are both 8 out of 10 you say. you would be happy with with either of them. i gotta say though those airspring tweeters are somthing to hear.
 
I find EPI to be less picky with amps while ADS tend to enjoy more brighter sounding amplifiers. But, it depends on the ADS speakers. I haven't heard them all.
 
Is price a matter ?

Having L810 myself and finding them OK, but not fantastic ( boomy a bit
thin on soundstage) and, personnaly wanting a pair of EPI, I would go<
for the EPI.

Still, there is no foam rot to appear on my 810; thin rubber surround and they shure look swell with that perforated grill.

I think by already having A-150, you'll like the bass better on the EPI.

Prices ?

Personally, I am more of an EPI Fan over ADS from what I've heard. Have you gone and taken a listen at them?
 
I like Forte IIs. In fact, as much as I love my Paradigms, if I ever run across Cornwalls, Fortes or Choruses for cheap, I'd also love to have a pair of one of those (preferably Cornwalls) as a completely different option for the things they do well. I can overlook the things they don't do as well for the times I choose to listen to them.
