Whats an HK 630 worth?

I went to a guy locally here in Fuquay selling some audio gear including an HK630 receiver with the dual power supplies. I'm curious as to what these go for? I've searched and seem to find little information on what this receiver is worth. It's in very good shape, has been cleaned, etc. and oh yeah, it sounds very good too! Thanks for your help.

Orion lists them as 73-76 30W $360 list. Orion's second hand pricing doesn't mean much for this kind of stuff and I would expect pricing to be all over the place.

As it happens, I am checking out one here because the owner of the local HiFi shop has been talking to me about this series of HK's for some time and this one has just come up for sale. ( I need more stereo equipment like a hole in the head but I don't have any receivers and if I try hard enough, I can probably rationalize it somehow!)

My initial impression is that the sound is good including the phono stage, fm sounds fine, build quality is good and I like the looks.

I haven't listened for long but my guess is that if a good 30W will do the job, (and for many of us it will) it would be hard to find a receiver that would sound better.

The old literature shows: 1973, 20 watts/ch $360
They had a real smooth and musical sound.
Just needs very efficient speakers...

FWIW, The 630 brochure I have here specifies 30W. See attached

Thanks for the info and the great brochure attachment! They are a nice looking receiver and as some have observed seem to be built like a tank. My HPM speakers are fairly efficient and with my current Nikko 35 watt receiver powering the HPM's I can allow my neighbors to enjoy my music if I so desire. I'm just trying to get a feel for a fair price on this 630 in very good condition.:scratch2:
 
They are nice receivers - I would think that $30 to $50 would be reasonable for one in really nice shape. It would have to have the wooden case to go $50. But that would be my upper limit. And they usually go pretty low on ebay.

They just don't get the respect of it's big brother, the 930. A mint 930 could go for $130 to $170.

I had an HK 505, and a Yamaha R 500 that I gave to Rob to fix my SX 850. I should have kept the HK 505. Great sounding Amp. Right up there with the 6060F I am running now. More power at 60 WPC, bu not very attractive though.
 
I have the 430 and it is an outstanding unit at "only" 25 watts per channel. I've seen the 630 go for ~40 to ~60 recently. IMO it's worth more than that quality wise and sound wise.
 
They are worth more with the optional walnut veneered case. Approx $50 for a regular shape unit is fair.
